Chapter Fourteen: The Break

       Sam's point of view.
Why is this happening to me? I keep wondering that. First I find out I have important qualities that I need to use in order to save the world and now the leader of the organization is my father the one I never even knew was alive. I keep thinking about my mom and my brother. Are they still alive? Will I ever get the chance to tell them how much I love them ever again? I try to stay positive and think they are alive and okay. But there is just a voice in my head that keeps trying to make me think otherwise. As if I don't have enough problems Marvin and Aries both have to be here. I can not be thinking about my crushes right now I have to think about the real problems here. I just can't help it.
"Hey Sam." Dessi says as she was through my bedroom door. "Can we talk?" I nod and invite her to sit next to me.
"It's really stupid but you know Aries well right?" She asks blushing.
"Um I don't know him that well." I reply smiling.
"Well I think I like him like a lot."
"What since when?" I ask surprised.
"We kind of started talking alone and he's really nice. But I'm not supposed to be having crush right now with everything that's going on."
"Sometimes you just can't help it." Is it bad that a part of me wished Aries would like me instead of Dessi?
"Tell me about that guy Marvin who is totally into you."
"He's not stop it." At least I hope he's not.
"Enough boy talk I've seen you being down the past few days." So I tell Dessi all about how Mr. Anderson is my father and how he's been hiding it from me this whole time. I know what I need right now. I need a break. A long break where I can be alone and think about everything that's been happening. But I know that will not happen. Now that we are all done training we will be starting the mission very soon. I should be scared. But what I feel the most is not fear, it's hatred. I want them to pay for everything they did to our world. Oh and trust me they will definitely pay.

Chapter Thirteen: The Secrets

          Sam practiced many days and hours without stoping. She developed her qualities and she was getting really good at controlling them. Each day she got better and learned many new things. Mr. Anderson was a great teacher and she loved working with him. She felt as if she knew him but she could not figure out how yet.
"Sam I am very proud of you." Mr. Anderson smiled." You learn very fast, I'm not surprised. I think you and the others are ready."
"Wow Mr. Anderson I don't know what to say but I feel ready."
"Please call me Adam. But before I can send you on this mission I must tell you something very important. I am supposed to keep this from you but I just can't help it anymore. You might want to sit down for this." Sam looks at him surprised. She tries ignoring the fact that her heart is beating really fast and sits down. Mr. Anderson sits next to her.
"Please don't hate me for this. Sam I am your father..." For a second Sam just sits there staring not comprehending what Mr. Anderson said to her. She has many feelings and thoughts going through her mind but the thing she feels the most is hate.
"Oh god Sam please say something."
"How could you keep this from me? You did not care about us you left us."
"I had no choice Sam I was working on finding the RLE and when you were born I knew you were one of the chosen ones. When I told your mother she didn't want to hear it. She thought I was crazy, that I was making it all up. I let my obsession on finding them affect your mother and I could see how much I was hurting her so I decided to leave."
"You just decided it would be better if I lived a lie. A life where my own mother said my father was a mistake and that he walked out on us because he was a coward. Do you have any idea how hard life has been for mom? No of course you don't. You didn't care about your own family and you chose your work over us."
"Sam I'm sorry and I know what I did was wrong. But you have to understand I didn't want to hurt you."
"Well guess what you did." Sam stormed out before he could say anything else. She felt like her whole world was falling apart. It slowly but surely was falling apart.

Chapter Twelve: The Practice

       "Sam, Sam wake up." A distant voice whispered. Sam slowly opened her eyes to see Morris and the others stare down at her. She was back in her room but something was different.
"You have been asleep for about 12 hours, are you okay?" Aries asked. Sam slowly started getting out of her bed.
"I feel different." She stated.
"It's the serum. It affected many parts of your brain. Test it out and see if it worked." Morris smiled.
"Start by trying to pick up the bed." Sam did as she was told and to her surprise she managed moving it with no struggle.
"Wow." Sam whispered with shock.
"It's pretty cool isn't it?" Marvin laughed "Now test camouflage."
"How do I do that?" Sam wondered
"It's easy just think about it hard enough." Dessi said. Sam thought long and hard when suddenly she saw pure shock on their faces. They all started laughing.
"It works!" Morris cheered happily. "Next is the brains. Come to the computer I want you to try decoding this code that no normal human can." In just two minutes Sam managed decoding it.
"Good job and lastly immunity. I don't want to alarm you but I will stab you with this knife." Aries stared with a straight face. Sam started laughing but before she noticed the knife was already in her chest.
"But how I feel no pain."
"That's the beauty of having immunity babe." Aries smirked.
        "We are very glad the serum worked on all of you kids." Mr. Anderson announced." You will soon be going on your first mission but before that we have to make sure you handle your qualities well. You will need some practice." They assigned everyone a specific teacher for each quality. Dessi was assigned to a teacher named Mrs. Jolly who has been studying camouflage for a long time. Marvin was assigned to someone named Mr. John, Aries got a teacher named Mr. Blake and Reldi had a teacher named Mrs. Clover. Sam needed the most practice considering she had all four qualities. She imagined having to work with each teacher individually but to her surprise she had a special teacher.
"Hello Sam. I am you teacher, you will be practicing your qualities with me. I know you are wondering why me and you will find out sooner or later. But let's just try to focus on developing you qualities and controlling them." Mr. Anderson explained. Mr. Anderson was her teacher? She had many questions.

Chapter Eleven: The Qualities

      Morris told Sam and the others how they were chosen.
"But we are just a couple of high schoolers." Dessi complained.
"You are not as ordinary as you think."Mr.Anderson said out of nowhere. Morris looked at him worried.
"It's time for you kids to understand. You have how should I say this, qualities other people don't have. You're qualities are much more evolved then even mine. Dessi your quality is camouflage, Marvin yours is strength, Reldi has the brains, Aries has immunity and lastly Sam you have a combination of all of them. Now you kids understand why no one else can stop them except for you. Reldi will be working from our computer labs to help show you the way there."
"How come we never discovered these qualities before?" Aries asked
"Because they need to be activated. You see when you were born a couple of the babies were found to have these rare qualities. We had to wait for you to grow so that now we can make them function."
Sam could hear everyone arguing and asking questions but she felt it unreal. I mean it could not be real. Right? How could she be the one with all of these powers combined. She was nothing special.
"How do you activate these qualities?" Sam wondered.
"It's easy all we have to do is inject you with this special serum." Morris smiled. Almost as if he felt bad for them.
        It was time for them to reactivate their qualities.
"Are you afraid?" Aries asked.
"No." Sam replied even though she knew that was a lie. The person injecting them told everyone to stand in a straight line and to walk in one by one when he called them. Sam was still a little it uncertain if she wanted to get injected with this "serum". But if it meant saving her family, friends and the world then she wanted to risk it. But some terrible thoughts crossed her mind. Like what would happen if she could not control these qualities. What if she ruined everything? She tried blocking those horrible thoughts out of her mind. When it was her turn to get injected her heart starting beating really fast. She hated needles. The room was freezing and the doctor that was injecting them looked like a normal doctor. Sam expected him to look scary but he was not. He instructed her to sit on the chair. When the needle went through her skin she immediately fell asleep. Was something wrong?

Chapter Ten: The Beginning Of The End

      "We know this information is hard for you kids to accept and acknowledge in such a short period of time. But we hope you will be able to deal. Thank you." The announcement said. Sam could not really comprehend what was happening. All of this time she thought the RLE were just a fantasy, something people would joke about. But it was the truth. She lay in bed trying to understand everything when she heard a knock at the door. As she slowly got up she heard the person whisper something as if he was not aloud to be there. When she opened to her surprise she saw someone she would have never expected. It was Marvin.
"Are you lost?" Sam said sarcastically.
"You are so funny. There's no time to hate me right now. Can you believe what is happening?" Marvin talked as he walked and sat down by Sam's desk. "It's so crazy, and exciting at the same time."
"Wow you think this is exciting? you don't even know what they want from us."
"Haven't you heard we are going to be tracking down the RLE. We are going on a quest you can say. We will start training tomorrow morning."
"What! How do they expect us to track them down. They have been trying to track them down for years. Plus we are just teenagers they are like a massive community/corporation you do understand that it is impossible for us to stop them right?" Marvin without saying a word got up and left.
       Sam walked to the cafeteria when it was time for lunch. She saw Dessi and decided to say hi.
"Hey you're Dessi right? I'm Sam remember?"
"Yeah hi. Sorry it's just I'm trying to understand what is happening right now." They both started talking. Sam really needed to talk to someone. When they got to the cafeteria Sam saw Aries sitting with Marvin in the corner of her eye. Since when were they friends? She wondered. Would it be weird if she ran up to Aries and hugged him? They were not really that close anymore but she really needed a familiar hug right now.
"Yo Sam come sit with us." Marvin shouted from the other side of the room. Dessi saw Sam hesitating.
"Oh we are definitely sitting with them." Dessi smiled.
"What why?"
"That Marvin guy totally likes you and plus his friend, was it Aries is really cute."
"Me and Aries were actually really good friends."
"Seriously! Omg. Okay I'm going to stop being so excited and we are going to walk over there."
Sam could not help but go along with Dessi. She kept thinking about what Dessi said. Could someone like Marvin really like someone like her? Did she still have feelings for him?

Chapter Nine: The RLE

          Something Sam and the others didn't know was that the RLE were not only going to ruin everything, they were not going to stop until they ruined everyone. They were a lot like a community. A bad one for that matter. Hardly anyone knew who they were, but they knew hey were real. If you were part of the RLE not only were you forced to follow every single harsh rule but you would also have to do tons of dirty work. Dirty work included killing people who were innocent just for fun, lying about your identity, hiding yourself, basically living a lie. You might wonder why people would ever want to be a part of something so terrible like that and the answer is actually pretty simple. Power. That is what every single person in their community wanted and they did not care how many people they had to hurt in order to get it.
           They were the ones. The ones that started everything bad in this world. Sadly no one can locate them, the government has tried countless times. Unfortunately the RLE are way to good at hiding. People refuse to acknowledge their existence because they are afraid. Everyone knows they are everywhere and they are watching everyone's every move. Another thing they are known for are real life experiments, that's where they get their name from. The experiments they do are what cause destruction in the world. They are the ones who caused the earthquake. Their plan is evil. They want to destroy what's left of this Earth in order for people to have no choice but to turn to them for help.

Chapter Eight: The Facts

      Sam couldn't sleep all night. She didn't want to be in there at all. Even if the room she was in looked like her room she knew it wasn't real. She was really thankful that she at least had Aries in there, but of course she couldn't admit that because of their past. She was ready to put the past behind her now. "Good morning wonderful people! Could you please make your way to the cafeteria where we will discuss some important things. Thank you." A voice spoke the announcement. Sam wanted to learn about everything so she did as they said. When she got into the cafeteria everyone was already sitting down. "Ah Sam you finally decided to show up how great." Morris laughed. Sam just ignored him and sat on the last open chair which was right next to Marvin. What a coincidence. "Hey I remember you. You're that one girl that liked me in freshman year right?" Marvin asked jokingly.
"Excuse me? Don't flatter yourself." Sam tried lying.
       Out of nowhere a tall, slim, very well dressed man came and stood in front of them. He was very familiar to Sam but she had no idea who he was. He introduced himself as Mr. Adam Anderson. Adam Anderson the name echoed through Sam's mind. She knew him. She knew him very well. He kept staring at Sam with pain in his eyes. Unfortunately she knew why. " You kids are waiting for an explanation and I am the one who will tell you everything. I am the founder of this agency. Here we try to help keep the world at peace. We are what you could call a safe haven for people with troubles.  This time we are trying to protect everyone from our enemies they are known as The RLE. It stands for Real Life Experiments. They are now a danger not only to our agency but to the whole world. You five will help us stop them from ruining everything." Sam could not comprehend what was truly happening she did not know if she really wanted to learn more. Would the truth scare her?
